Hopeful Voices is a program of
My Class Cares, a nonprofit organization registered in the U.S.A. (Section 501c3, ID 20-1802885)
What it is
Hopeful Voices is a free educational resource that teachers can utilize with their students. It is designed to be a powerful and unique curriculum supplement for social studies and language arts classes.
Specifically,
Hopeful Voices is a set of essays from ten children around the world who have faced significant life challenges (e.g. child labor, violence, homelessness, abandonment, and more). The kids share their stories, dreams, and thoughts about life.
To create
Hopeful Voices, we partner with other
nonprofit organizations that interview selected youth and send us their responses. We then edit the interviews into essay form and add prompts for writing and research assignments.
