Hopeful Voices is a collection of essays designed to be a powerful and unique curriculum supplement for social studies and language arts classes.
The essays come from youth around the world who have faced significant life challenges (e.g. child labor, violence, homelessness, abandonment, and more). The kids share their stories, dreams, and thoughts about life.
To create Hopeful Voices, we partner with other nonprofit organizations that interview selected youth and send us their responses. We then edit the interviews into essay form and add prompts for writing and research assignments.
Hopeful Voices is provided as a free resource for all educators by My Class Cares, an educational nonprofit organization.
